Why should you even care about Jesus? (After all, he's only the Son of God)

Most people think they are basically good and believe they would go to heaven if they died right now. Nothing could be further from the truth. Take the test to find out if you are good enough to go to heaven. If you think you are a good person and will not need a savior click here.
Watch this interview and apply what you see to yourself then you will understand that we all need a savior. No matter how good or bad you are, if you are better than most people, or how many times you are sorry and ask for forgiveness, none of that will help you be good enough to go to heaven.
Here is a great example:It is not enough to simply ask for forgiveness. If you go to court for a traffic ticket or something worse and you tell the judge that you are sorry for what you did, He is still going to execute justice. You still have to pay the penalty for what you have done wrong. Being sorry doesn't cancel your debt.
If you stand before God and say I am sorry forgive me it wont be enough. You will still have to answer for you sins. You will not be accepted on your own goodness or for being sorry.

God has made a way. Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for the whole world. His death and blood are the price that was paid and will cover your debt. You can walk out of the court room a free person. It is as if someone came into the court room and paid the price for your offenses and the judge said your case was finished and you are free to go. wow.
He loves us so much and proves it with this action of personal sacrifice. Anyone who believes this Word can be saved from eternal death. Only Jesus the Christ could save us. He is the only one who came down out of heaven. It is His death on the cross and His blood that was used to redeem us and cleanse all of mankind from sin. Do you believe in this message? How do we know Jesus is really coming back?
People have always said the end of the world was near and predicted dates of Jesus second coming. Many people over the last 20 centuries have misunderstood the facts and components surrounding the second coming of the Jesus. His coming is like the boy who cried about a wolf coming to kill him and when the people came to help there was no wolf and the boy laughed. He did this many times fooling the people. Then one day the wolf really came to eat him. The boy cried out for help but the people ignored him because they were lied to so many times before. When the wolf finally came no one believed him and the wolf killed him.
People have grown critical and cold to hearing about His coming even. Many false teachers who tried to predict the day and hour have failed miserably. Now after crying wolf for so long people resist and scoff at the idea. 2 Peter 3:3 First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. 4 They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.”
There are many misunderstandings about His second coming. One example is what Jesus meant when He said, 'some standing here will not taste death until they see Me coming IN MY KINGDOM.' Matthew 16:27. There are 2 important point to understand in order to make sense of this scripture. The term He used is 'COMING IN HIS KIGDOM.' That refers to the Holy Spirit filling us as New Creatures in Christ being Spiritually BORN into to Kingdom of God. They other important point is that John, His disciple did actually see Him coming in the clouds when He wrote the book of Revelation.
It is undeniable. Jesus is coming back. John 14:2-3 2. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; Matt. 26:64 Jesus said unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven; Mark 14:26 And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven; Mark 13:26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory; Luke 21:27; And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
Those who witnessed Christ's ascension into heaven after his death and resurrection heard the angels declare in Acts 1:11, "Men of Galilee…why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven." The Second Coming is the literal return of Jesus Christ to earth as King in power and glory to rule for a thousand years (Revelation 20:1-6).
Jesus is coming back. 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17 Jesus is coming back with those who have died. He will raise the dead and call us off the earth who are still alive. The word here used here to call us up is ρπάζω harpázō which means to gain control over, seize upon, snatch away forcefully.
Jesus said no one know the day or the hour. Matt. 25:13, and it is written He will come like a thief in the night. 1 Thess. 5:2. In 2 Thess. 1:7 Jesus will be revealed from Heaven in blazing fire with powerful angels. In 2 Thess. 2 we are warned not to believe that Jesus has already come back at some other point in time. Many false teaching claim that Jesus is already here or has already come back in the past. These teachings are not true.
The temptation to scoff and disbelieve is a real one. However, Jesus teaches many times in parables to always be ready. Matt. 25:1, Luke 12:43, Matt. 24:46But for the faithful we are to be looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ, Titus 2:13.
Why is Jesus Coming Back?
To Reconcile mankind to God, 2 Corn. 5:18-19And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
To set up His Kingdom. Dan. 2:44 In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever.
To Judged the nations and to bring peace: Is.2:4 He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.
To Destroy them that are destroying the earth: Rev. 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou should give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and should destroy them which destroy the earth.
Why is this time different?
Never before in history have all these events and signs happened simultaneously and increasingly.
Matt.24:33. so, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door. Luke 21:28- But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”
Signs of Jesus Second Coming:

"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father" (Matthew 24:36). The Bible describes several events which must occur before the Second Coming (Matthew 24:4-29; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12; Revelation chapters 6-18).
Luke 17:26-30. As it was in the days of Noah, they did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built, so shall it be in the days of the Son of Man.
There are many signs Jesus said would happen. Matt Chapter 24.
Then after Jesus tells them the signs He explains a key one vital Sign that actually ties them all together. Matt. 24.32 Learn the parable of the fig tree. You will know when the season has come by looking at the leaves and the buds. That is how it will be when Christ comes back.
In the Old Testament God calls Israel His fig tree. Hosea 9:10 and Joel 1:7. The most important sign we are now in the season of Christ return is Israel. The have been scattered for for over two millennium. Now they are a nation again. wow. God has used them to warm us this is the generation. We are the generation. Jesus told them learn the parable of the fig tree. When it starts to bud you know the season is at hand. Matt. 24:32
That very important point is why so many have been wrong over the last 2000 years about Jesus second coming. Only until 1948 has Israel even been a nation. Never in history has a nation been scattered for more than a few centuries and come back together to claim their heritage and land. They are a sign of God for the Last Days. Ezekiel 37:1.

Signs in the heavens: Right after Israel took Jerusalem man walks on the moon. Wow.
How can we prepare for this?
We need to accept the message of the cross and repent of our self-centered ways. We are not to set dates and times, but live our lives as if it could happen any day, any moment; after all we could die at any moment anyway. We must live holy and righteous as Christ has set the example. when we make mistakes we strive to correct them and trust that Christ knows our hearts and that he perfects us and accepts us no matter what. But we must try and have pure hearts. He knows if we are truly trying to obey him or if we are self deceived.
Few things we are still waiting on but the rapture could happen any moment.

Clarify Misunderstandings:
The Old Testament prophets did not seem to fully understand this distinction between the two comings of Jesus (His birth and His Second Coming) as seen in Isaiah 7:14; 9:6-7; and Zechariah 14:4. Those who argue that Jesus was not the Messiah because He did not fulfill all the Old Testament prophecies about the Messiah, fail to take into account the Second Coming of Christ, in which He will fulfill all the prophecies about the Messiah. Christ's first coming was to stand in our place and receive the penalty exacted for sin. His Second Coming will defeat sin for all eternity.
The second coming should also not be confused with the event referred to as the Rapture. The Rapture refers to a time when Jesus Christ will come to remove all believers from the earth (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:50-54). The church holds many positions on the rapture, but the Second Coming is undisputed. The Second Coming is the event when Jesus Christ returns to the earth to defeat evil and establish His reign of justice and peace.
Rewards For Faithfulness:
Matthew 25:19-21, "After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them…His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'"
there are special rewards, honors and priveleges for the faithful servants when Jesus comems back. Not all will be rewarded the exact same. Those who suffer more and work harder and sacrifice more will be rewarded more. those who are lazy and foolish will be rewarded according to God's justice and grace.
